Events range from public roll outs, skate park meetups, and indoor/outdoor roller discos. Private events are also available (subject to venue availability).

Do you have roller skates?
Yes. Roller skates are available for select public and private skating events. Click here to view the current inventory.
How do I book a private event?
Email Cherri at cherri@rollerskatelethbridge.ca to request private event information. Cost varies depending on venue rental fees and skate time requested. Click here for more information about private events.
How do I reserve roller skates?
For public events, skaters must reserve their skates prior to the event via the website reservation system. Click here to view the current available rentals.
For private events, you will be provided a private link to reserve skates for your party. Email Cherri at cherri@rollerskatelethbridge.ca to request private event information.
Sorry, skate loans are not available for outdoor public events, as the rental fleets is set up for indoor skating.
Can I bring my own roller skates?
Absolutely.
Do I need to wear protective gear?
Helmet, wrist guards and knee pads are always recommended. Protective gear is at your discretion at private and public events. However, if you choose to have a formal lesson as part of your private event, each skater must wear a helmet, wrist guards and knee pads. Protective gear allows the student and instructor to fully focus on the skills and not be fearful of bumps and bruises if (when) they fall.

Where can I buy roller skates in Lethbridge?
Sometimes local big box stores carry them in the summer. There are three roller skate shops in Alberta that also have online stores. Visit this post for what to look for. Local thrift stores sometimes have vintage finds. You can also join the Roller Derby Gear Buy and Sell (Alberta-ish) group and watch for new postings.
What do you recommend for recreational roller skates?
Consider your ability, frequency and budget when choosing skates. For new skaters, it’s good to start on a lower-priced model then upgrade when you know how you’re going to use them. Visit this post for Alberta skate shop providers and some beginner skate options to consider.
