How to clean your roller skate bearings

You can effectively extend the life of your bearings with a little care! Here’s a quick video tutorial on cleaning your roller skate bearings.

You’ll need:

• A tool to pull out your bearings (a bearing puller or skate axle)
• A tool to pop off your bearing shield (small screwdriver or safety pin)
• Plastic container
• Rubbing alcohol (70-90%)
• Old toothbrush
• Absorbent rags
• Bearing oil
• Optional: canned air to speed drying
